Bloody awesome motorbike. Cost $7800 second hand. Produced 53hp @ rear wheel @ 13,000rpm. It had 18,000kms on the clock when I bought it, It used to jump out of second gear if you tried to change up too fast, Had a lot of scars from various minor accidents and drops. I imported a rear shock from England as they were racing them and there was a thriving accessories and parts market and even a club dedicated to VFR400's. Second hand Ohlins fork springs out of a CBR600 race bike solved the front suspension woes and it was all bliss from there on. The fairings eventually started to break up from old age and the minor prangs which prompted the furring. It was either some major plastic welding and a completely new paint job and or race glass and fur. I sold it with 120,000kms on the clock with the motor never been touched and still going strong. In hindsight I should have kept it for a track bike as it was the most fun out of all the bikes to ride on the track. If ever you get the opprtunity to ride one of these take it.
